Mrs. Valerie L. Bodden Waid Griffin 48 of Jacksonville, FL passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in Jacksonville. Mrs. Griffin had lived in Bristol for 14 years prior to moving back to Jacksonville in 1997. She was a dedicated Direct Care Instructor at the Edwards Group Home in Jacksonville and had also worked at the Liberty Immediate Care Facility. Mrs. Griffin was of the Baptist faith and had attended Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol. She was a member of the East 44th Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

2 aunts - Beulah Schneider and her husband Lynn of Jacksonville

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Vera (Minton) Bodden.
Memorial services were held 2:00 P.M. EST Sunday, May 22, 2005 graveside at the Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol. Adams Funeral Home in Bristol was in charge of the arrangements
